The Dark Knight Blu-Ray Details
September 22nd 2008 16:47
The DVD/Blu-ray release of the Dark Knight is inching ever closer, and the red X's on my calendar are starting to add up. The release is said to be in time for the holiday season, and the re-release of The Dark Knight into IMAX theaters nationwide should be enough to keep us all satisfied through January.
Today Blu-ray.com is said to have some leaked details about the extras included in the Blu-ray release.
Disc 1 will have the movie itself and a featurette called "Gotham Discovered: The Creation of a Scene," where Nolan and company break down some info on the IMAX footage and details of the Bat Gadgets.
Disc 2 will include the documentaries "Batman Technology: Gadgets and Tools" (in HD), "Batman Unmasked: The Psychology of the Dark Knight" and "The World of Batman Seen Through Real Life Psychotherapy" (in HD) as well as some conceptual art and clips from Gotham Tonight.
I don't own a Blu-ray player, or even an HD TV, but this looks to be an awesome set. I want to know as much about The Dark Knight as possible and Nolan will make sure every extra is just as good as the movie itself (if that's possible).
Silly Plug: Check out My Visit to The Dark Knight Set in Chicago last summer. The video is choppy and there is a strange clicking sound, but I think that has more to do with the computer I edited it on.
